Chamber 13 with Least Portals

  • 1 of 15: There is a way to do this chamber with only 2 portals, but it's really, *really* tedious.
  • 2 of 15: To start with, you're going to have to get the storage cube in the first room down without using any portals.
  • 3 of 15: Stand on the big red button on the side near the cube, then take a quick running jump at the cube and hit the "Use item" key to grab a hold of it.
  • 4 of 15: This is very, very hard to do, and is only the first of three super-hard things you must do to complete this chamber with only 2 portals.
  • 5 of 15: After you get the cube down, set it on the red button, then back up a bit.
  • 6 of 15: You should then be able to easily fire a blue portal at the white tile that's on the ceiling directly above the higher of the two red button platforms in the next room.
  • 7 of 15: Fire an orange portal into a nearby wall (if you haven't already) and carry the cube over to it.
  • 8 of 15: Drop down onto the higher button platform, then go over to the edge of it that's nearest the path of the bouncing energy orb.
  • 9 of 15: Crouch down and use the cube to try to deflect the orb into the receptor on the floor. This is the second super-hard task, and will likely take many dozens of tries.
  • 10 of 15: To make it a bit easier, you can drop the cube onto the edge of the button platform so that it starts to fall off, then grab it again right away. That way, you'll have an angled surface to bounce the orb with.
  • 11 of 15: After the orb's set, place the cube on the button, then jump down to the lower button platform, and then to the platform that's next to the closed exit door.
  • 12 of 15: You now need to jump over to the moving platform, which is the third and final super-hard thing to do.
  • 13 of 15: Pick up the moving platform's storage cube, then jump back to the platform next to the exit door when you can.
  • 14 of 15: From there, jump to the lower button platform and put the cube on the button.
  • 15 of 15: Jump back to the exit door's platform, then go through the door and into the elevator to get your score of 2 (or 3).
