How can I get to the button alive?
1 of 7: After dropping down, you could try crouching and using the franken-turret as a shield while moving toward the button, but then you wouldn't have a shield anymore after putting the franken-turret on the button.
2 of 7: You'll need to block the turrets' line of fire with something before you drop down.
3 of 7: You'll recall from some of the game's earlier test chambers that light bridges are much more solid than force fields, and can be used to block turrets.
4 of 7: What you need to do is relocate the blue portal to where the extended light bridge will go across the turrets' line of fire.
5 of 7: Go back along the walkway to where you can see down into the turrets' lower-floor area, then put the franken-turret down.
6 of 7: Put the blue portal onto any portal-friendly wall surface in the turrets' area, then pick up the franken-turret and go drop into the area behind the force field.
7 of 7: You can then go over to the big red button and drop the franken-turret on it without getting shot at all.
