Portal 2 Hints
How can I get the cube in the first chamber?
1 of 8: To start with, get to the chamber's main floor by firing a blue portal onto one of the walls near the big 06 sign and going through it.
2 of 8: Looking around, you'll see that there's an upper floor section, part of which is transparent.
3 of 8: The storage cube is inside the transparent section, and can't be gotten out until you get onto the upper floor.
4 of 8: Once on the upper floor, go over to the top of the storage cube's little cage to see that there's a circular hole in the top of it.
5 of 8: Looking down into the cage, you'll also see that its floor is portal-friendly.
6 of 8: You can't drop down through the hole, but you can fire a blue portal through it.
7 of 8: Fire a blue portal straight at the cube to get it to fall out of the orange portal and onto the main floor.
8 of 8: NOTE: If the cube drops into the pit, drop down into it yourself, open a blue portal on the floor, then drop the cube through the portal before going through yourself. (Or go through while holding the cube to help make sure it doesn't fall back into the pit.)
