Portal 2 Hints
So how can I get to the elevator platform?
1 of 16: Did you notice what happened when you dropped the cube onto the big red button?
2 of 16: It caused the panel that's on the metal pole above the button platform to rotate around.
3 of 16: Look to the right to see the elevator platform, then look to the left to see a small high-up platform that has two portal-friendly surfaces and a slanty surface. Get the idea yet?
4 of 16: You need to run onto the high-up platform's slanty surface with enough momentum to get across to the button platform's rotated panel, then bounce from it over to the elevator platform.
5 of 16: That means you're going to need to put propulsion gel on the high-up platform's slanty surface, and repulsion gel on the rotated panel's top surface.
6 of 16: Start with the propulsion gel. Portal yourself onto the high-up platform, then get some propulsion gel onto its slanted surface.
7 of 16: Do that by putting an orange portal on the wall section next to the slanted surface, then putting a blue portal underneath the propulsion gel tube.
8 of 16: After quicksaving, go to the base of the ramp and run up it to see if you can get from it to the button platform's rotated panel.
9 of 16: You can't, so you'll need to use your propulsion gel runway to build up some momentum first.
10 of 16: Relocate the blue portal to either of the runway platform's portal-friendly surfaces, then go through the orange portal to get there.
11 of 16: Put the blue portal on the platform's vertical surface if it isn't already there, then go to the start of the runway and quicksave before running forward and through the blue portal.
12 of 16: This time, you'll make it to the rotated panel, but not to the elevator platform. You'll need to get some repulsion gel onto the panel before trying again.
13 of 16: After that's done, portal back to the button platform and put the cube back on the button to re-rotate the panel.
14 of 16: Go back to the runway platform and put the blue portal on its vertical surface if it's not already there.
15 of 16: Look over to the high-up platform with the slanty propulsion-gelled surface, and put an orange portal onto the wall section that's next to the slanty surface.
16 of 16: You can then go to the start of the runway and run your way to the elevator platform.
