Portal 2 Hints
How can I cross this gap?
1 of 8: There are no portal-friendly surfaces visible on the other side, but look around on your side.
2 of 8: There's a slanted portal-friendly surface next to the walkway, indicating that you need to portal-fling your way across the gap.
3 of 8: Put a blue portal in the middle of the slanty surface, then look around for a way to gain some momentum.
4 of 8: Remember how you used propulsion-gelled runways for momentum in previous areas? You'll need to do the same thing here.
5 of 8: Go back inside and approach the masher-guarded walkway section.
6 of 8: When the mashers are up, look past them to see a portal-friendly wall.
7 of 8: Fire an orange portal onto that wall when you can, then wait for the mashers to get about halfway up.
8 of 8: Lean on the "Move Forward" key to zoom along the propulsion gel and fling yourself out of the blue portal and across the walkway gap.
