RedJack: Revenge of the Brethren Hints
Where can I learn how to fight?
of 10: First, you'll need to get a sword, so that you can have something to train with. Some of the events I've describe below may not happen or will happen differently if you don't have a sword.
of 10: Captain Justice said that one of his crew was missing.
of 10: Why don't you try to find him?
of 10: Head out to the cove, and you'll find Lyle behind a rock there. Ask him if he'll teach you how to fight. (That's not the same section of beach from which you started the game. You'll probably die if you try heading there.)
of 10: Your first encounter with Lyle won't be all that successful. He doesn't seem to be too willing to help you, as long as he's hungry and thirsty.
of 10: Maybe you should leave the cove and see what you can do to help him first.
of 10: On your way out of the cove, you will be attacked by one of the assassins who's been after you. That attack will prompt Lyle to come to the rescue. This is probably your chance to get him to help you.
of 10: All you need to do to get his help is get him some ale.
of 10: Once you've learned each of the pieces of how to fight, tell Lyle that you're ready for a full fight. If you're successful, he'll recommend you to Captain Justice. (You might even get his recommendation if you aren't successful. I'm not sure if this is intentional or is the result of a bug, however.)
