How do I use this clock-like gadget inside the pentagon building?

  • 1 of 10: Try pressing the two buttons on the main panel that's just past the door.
  • 2 of 10: The left button will briefly bring up a picture of a beach ball on the screen.
  • 3 of 10: It's the beach ball that's near the SW side of the pentagon building.
  • 4 of 10: You don't have to go visit the beach ball. Try hitting the right button on the panel now.
  • 5 of 10: That'll make the "clock" tick all the way around.
  • 6 of 10: Before that'll do anything for you, you need to set the five symbol panels on the two sides of the room to the correct squiggly shapes.
  • 7 of 10: After all five panels are set, return to the main console and hit the right-side button again.
  • 8 of 10: If the panels were all set correctly, the left button will start flashing after the clock ticks all the way around.
  • 9 of 10: Press it to get a view of a letter fragment and the big round pillar back at the SE end of the complex.
  • 10 of 10: The little door on the side of the big round pillar will now be unlocked.
