Return to Mysterious Island Hints
How can Mina leave Granite House, with the guardian robot outside?
of 14: The guardian robot guarding the beachfront area can be seen from inside Granite House, as he buzzes back and forth beyond the window.
of 14: If you haven't yet seen him, you can get a good look from the window immediately in front of the cannon.
of 14: Now if we only had some way of destroying him...
of 14: ... something, perhaps, that could shoot from out of that window.
of 14: That cannon is in a pretty good placement. Wonder if it still works.
of 14: To test it out, though, we'll need something to shoot, and something to set it off.
of 14: The ordnance is no problem; there are cannonballs at hand.
of 14: But we need a means of propulsion -- something to fire the cannonball.
of 14: You have a little bit of leeway here. There is more than one way to supply the propellant for the cannon.
of 14: You can either make your own gunpowder, or try to use some of the old gunpowder left by Captain Nemo.
of 14: Open the cannon by clicking on the circle at the end.
of 14: Load a cannonball and some powder into the cannon, and close it again.
of 14: Once the cannon is loaded, all you need to do is fire it.
of 14: Click on the wick to fire the cannon. Aim with the "sights". Try to follow the flying robot. If you miss, try again. (Good thing you don't have to reload each time, huh?)
