Fish

  • 1 of 32: This is one item that will take a little preparation.  You won't be able to simply pick up a fish, as you can with the other food items.
  • 2 of 32: First, have you found the fish yet?
  • 3 of 32: Where would a fish be?
  • 4 of 32: You can't go back into the ocean, so it must be somewhere else nearby.
  • 5 of 32: Look near the stone archway, in the small pool of water.  If you watch, you should see a small fish swimming around the pool.
  • 6 of 32: You'll need some way of catching the fish.
  • 7 of 32: You will have to fashion some kind of fishing rod for yourself.
  • 8 of 32: Consider the parts of a fishing rod -- the rod, the line, and the hook.
  • 9 of 32: What can you use for the rod?
  • 10 of 32: A branch would work well for the fishing rod
  • 11 of 32: You can find a branch near the pile of logs blocking Mina's access to the remainder of the island.
  • 12 of 32: Look to the left, while at the pile of logs, to find a forked branch leaning against a post.
  • 13 of 32: For fishing line, you'll need something thin and strong.
  • 14 of 32: There are a couple of items you can use for the line -- a thin vine, or coconut fibers.
  • 15 of 32: You'll also need a hook.
  • 16 of 32: You can use anything sharp -- and slightly barbed.
  • 17 of 32: There are a couple of thorny vines growing along the pathway that leads between the two cliff faces.
  • 18 of 32: One is tangled in a bush on the ground, on the right-hand side.
  • 19 of 32: Another is higher up on the left cliff face, midway down the path.
  • 20 of 32: Neither one can be retrieved by hand.
  • 21 of 32: But either is retrievable using the proper tool.
  • 22 of 32: Combine the branch, line, and thorns in the inventory combining area.
  • 23 of 32: But something is still missing (based on the "equation" portion of the combining area).
  • 24 of 32: What about bait?
  • 25 of 32: Worms seem to be the standard fishing bait.
  • 26 of 32: You can find some worms in the beach area, if you explore carefully.
  • 27 of 32: On the pathway that leads between the two cliff faces, search the ground carefully.
  • 28 of 32: You should find several items on the ground, as you move around near the entrance to the small cave.
  • 29 of 32: One of those is a bunch of reddish worms.  Take them into inventory.
  • 30 of 32: Add the worms to the combining tray to get a fully equipped fishing rod.
  • 31 of 32: Go to the small pool where the fish is swimming.
  • 32 of 32: Take the fishing rod from inventory, and use it on the fish.
