Sam & Max: Season 2 Hints

How does the car work?

  • 1 of 5: Pretty much the same way it did in Season One, except that now you can control the car with the keyboard as well as with the mouse.
  • 2 of 5: When you want to go somewhere, find the car (an old black and white DeSoto circa 1958) and click on it. Max will ask where you want to go, and you can choose between a number of possibilities.
  • 3 of 5: When you're driving through endless streets (either as a mini game or just for fun), use the arrows on the keyboard or the mouse to steer. You can hit anything you want without penalty, so knock things down by all means. If you hit a sidewalk ramp, you'll fly into the air; if you hit it with one wheel, you'll spin, which is fun.
  • 4 of 5: If you click on the gun, you can shoot things while you drive; in some episodes, the horn pulls cars over. Experiment!
  • 5 of 5: When you're done, click on the little picture of the neighborhood at the lower right to go back to the office.
