The Secrets of Atlantis Hints

How is it meant to be figured out?

  • 1 of 20: You're supposed to use two sets of clues to figure out where each gem is meant to go.
  • 2 of 20: To start with, read over the translation notes you got from Kate while searching for the sapphire.
  • 3 of 20: Notice that four "ideal"-type things are mentioned and put in capital letters.
  • 4 of 20: They are: Balance, Wisdom, Purity, and Truth.
  • 5 of 20: There's only four, not five, but maybe they correlate to your gems in some way.
  • 6 of 20: To find out how, ask Captain Blackwood.
  • 7 of 20: Click a gem on him to get him to tell you which of the above ideals the gem is associated with.
  • 8 of 20: The emerald represents Balance, which is the first ideal on the list, so put the emerald on the pedestal of the statue that has the beam of sunlight shining on it.
  • 9 of 20: When you do, a green beam of light will go from the emerald to the next statue in the sequence.
  • 10 of 20: As Captain Blackwood will tell you, the sapphire represents Wisdom, which is the next ideal on the list, so put the sapphire on the pedestal that the emerald is "pointing" to.
  • 11 of 20: A blue beam of light will shoot out toward the next ivy-covered statue, indicating that it needs the gem of Purity.
  • 12 of 20: However, this is where the clues start to break down. Blackwood will say that pearls represent Purity, and he'll also say that moonstones have some purity, too.
  • 13 of 20: However, neither one will work on the third statue's pedestal.
  • 14 of 20: So try the only other gem you've got -- the ruby.
  • 15 of 20: NOTE: This may make some sense, since the clues mention strength (w/o a capital S) between Wisdom and Purity, and Blackwood says that rubies represent Power.
  • 16 of 20: You're now out of ivy-covered statues, but you do have one more gem to place.
  • 17 of 20: Follow the ruby's red beam up the stairs to the big locked door.
  • 18 of 20: Place the final gem by using it on the door.
  • 19 of 20: It needs to be the gem of Purity, but the pearl won't give much of a light beam.
  • 20 of 20: So use the moonstone instead. It's pure enough.
