Where can I get some red pigment?

  • 1 of 14: Where do you think primitive paint-makers get their pigments from?
  • 2 of 14: Usually, it's from the ground-up roots of special plants.
  • 3 of 14: The guy who's gathering herbs out on the trail that leads to the village knows about plants, so go talk to him.
  • 4 of 14: He'll describe the plant you need, but won't tell you where you can find one.
  • 5 of 14: It's in a spot you've been past several times, though you probably didn't notice the plant.
  • 6 of 14: Go back up the path that leads to the temple entrance.
  • 7 of 14: The plant you want is a bit to the right of the big doorway that leads into the temple's entry area.
  • 8 of 14: While facing the doorway, turn right and go forward to end up right next to the plant.
  • 9 of 14: It's interactive, but you can't just pick up its roots. You'll need a standard gardening tool to dig it up with first.
  • 10 of 14: Get the hoe and use it on the plant to dig it up.
  • 11 of 14: Now you can click on the plant to take some of its roots.
  • 12 of 14: However, you can't use the roots as is for your red pigment. You'll have to grind them up first.
  • 13 of 14: You can't grind all of the roots in the mortar finely enough to work as pigment, so you'll need to sift out the usable stuff.
  • 14 of 14: After you sift out the usable pigment, pick it up from the bowl under the sieve and use it on the empty container on top of the paint-making machine.
