The Secrets of Atlantis Hints

How can I get to the ground floor?

  • 1 of 14: Have you tried the elevators?
  • 2 of 14: Talk to the bellhop who's standing near one of the elevators to learn that they aren't working properly, and that access to them is limited during maintenance work.
  • 3 of 14: He also says that only someone who's wearing a badge can move around the building freely, and that such badges are only obtainable at the ground-floor reception desk.
  • 4 of 14: Until you get one of those badges, you'll have to find a way to move from one floor to another besides the elevators.
  • 5 of 14: How about the stairs?
  • 6 of 14: As the bellhop will tell you, the emergency staircases (which are apparently the only kind of staircases around) can only be used during an emergency.
  • 7 of 14: You're going to have to create an emergency in order to gain access to the stairs.
  • 8 of 14: To get an idea of what sort of emergency you should use, look around the floor you're on for emergency procedure posters.
  • 9 of 14: They're posted in a couple of spots, but the only place you can read them from is just to the left of the large array of personal mailboxes.
  • 10 of 14: Examining the posters will reveal that bellhops are supposed to allow you stair access in case of a fire.
  • 11 of 14: Unfortunately, the bellhop will just grab a handy fire extinguisher and put out your fire instead of showing you to the emergency stairs like the posters said he would.
  • 12 of 14: You're going to need to figure out a way to get the bellhop to follow emergency procedures more strictly, and then get your fire going again.
  • 13 of 14: This time, the bellhop won't put out the fire, but will instead stand next to one of the stairwell doors, gesturing to you.
  • 14 of 14: Move forward until you're next to the bellhop to get a cut-scene to take over. When you regain control, you'll be on the ground floor.
