How can I get his bet placed?

  • 1 of 9: He gives you the money for the bet, so go give it to the guy who takes bets.
  • 2 of 9: His window is in the wall just to the left of the stairs that leave the gaming room.
  • 3 of 9: However, when you go over there, you'll find that the window is totally non-interactive, and there are loud snoring noises coming from behind it.
  • 4 of 9: You're going to have to go back there and wake that sleeping beauty up so you can place your bet.
  • 5 of 9: Go into the area to the right of the stairs to find some curtains that you can slide aside.
  • 6 of 9: Behind the curtains is a sliding tile "mosaic" puzzle that you'll need to solve before you can enter the betting room.
  • 7 of 9: Solving the puzzle opens the door to the betting room, so go in and talk to the guy who's sleeping in there.
  • 8 of 9: After you talk to him, use the money from inventory on him to place your bet.
  • 9 of 9: Talk to him about the rat race topic to get your betting slip, then go give it to the guy who gave you the money.
