Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory Hints
Can I get in through the bank's front doors without raising any alarms?
of 9: Yes, though it's not essential to finishing the mission -- it's just the only way to get to the reception area if the large glass doors that connect reception to the lobby are closed, which they sometimes are and sometimes aren't.
of 9: If you're determined to get in through the front doors, start by taking down all three of the guards who are patrolling around outside.
of 9: You can sneak up on and grab the one closest to you right after the mission starts, even though he's talking to another guy. Just drag him back into a dark corner as quickly as you can so he's not found.
of 9: To take the other two down, sneak up on them as they're walking around, or while they're standing and staring at a light that you shot with the OCP (be careful if they break out flares, though). If that's too hard, use nonlethal projectiles.
of 9: Once they're down, find the open breaker box at the end of the little left alley next to the bank and use it to turn off all the courtyard lights, including the ones near the front door.
of 9: With all the lights out, you don't have to worry about the camera near the door seeing you, plus you can open the door without the guy behind the desk inside seeing you right away. (You may even be able to get away with breaking the lock instead of messing with lockpicking it.)
of 9: Before you go in through the door, use the OCP on the door-watching camera that's up high on the wall behind the desk.
of 9: Then you can either quickly shoot the guard with a nonlethal projectile, or you can mess with the three little circular lights above the desk with the OCP to get him to get suspicious and walk around a bit, making it fairly easy to nab him from behind.
of 9: When you're ready to leave, be sure to hit the camera above the desk with the OCP again before approaching the door.
