How can I open the retinal scan door past the escalator?
1 of 9: You could go down there and hack the retinal scanner (after disposing of the last guard with a nonlethal projectile), but this is a very difficult hack. Be sure to save your game before trying and keep restoring and trying again until you get it.
2 of 9: There is another way that you might find easier -- force the last guard in the area to unlock the door for you.
3 of 9: First, get rid of the first two of the three guards that roam around down there.
4 of 9: At the escalator bottom, OCP the camera and then shoot out the overhead light that's a ways over to the right.
5 of 9: Quickly move over next to the railing on the right side of the top of the stairs that go down to the large retinal scan door. (If you're close enough to the railing, the camera's beam should just miss you once it starts scanning again.)
6 of 9: Wait until the guard walks down the stairs, looks around a bit, and then stands with his back to the stairs. He won't hold that posture for long, so quickly sneak up behind him and grab him.
7 of 9: ALTERNATIVE: After shooting out the big wall sign that's near the ceiling camera, you could OCP the camera while the guard is near it (and is between you and the camera) and then sneak up on him as he checks it out. Quickly make your way over to the stairs with the guard before the camera comes back on.
8 of 9: Once you have him, go over to the door's retinal scanner and force him to use it.
9 of 9: Then knock him out and drop him in the dark corner on one side of the stairs.
