How do I solve the golden puzzles with the 9 buttons with glyphs on them?
1 of 8: As you move through Argannas, initially only certain sections will be open to you.
2 of 8: In the first "stage", there are two of these "golden puzzles" -- one located on the right side of town (as determined from the position where you are standing when you arrive in Argannas) and one on the left side.
3 of 8: These golden puzzles have "gates" that can lock over them, making them inaccessible.
4 of 8: Only one of the puzzles will be unlocked at a time.
5 of 8: Solving one of the golden puzzles will do several things: first, it will open a door to another section (or "stage") of Argannas that can then be explored in detail.
6 of 8: Second, it will cause the gate over the puzzle that was just solved to be closed and locked. That puzzle will not be usable again; and the door that it opened will remain open for the rest of the game. (In this manner, all areas of Argannas that you have already explored will continue to be available to you for the duration of your visit here. None will ever become inaccessible.)
7 of 8: And third, with one exception, solving one of the golden puzzles will also cause the "gate" that is locking one of the other golden puzzles to unlock and open. (The one exception is the last puzzle, which has no further puzzles to unlock.)
8 of 8: As each puzzle is solved, and locked, and another golden puzzle is unlocked, you will see a brief animation of that gate unlocking. When that happens, watch the video carefully! Because the background surrounding the newly-opened puzzle will provide a clue as to where you will find this new puzzle.
