How do I beat Pyramid Head?
1 of 9: Study his attack pattern to see if you can find a weakness.
2 of 9: He moves very slowly, and it takes him a long time to get that massive sword into the air.
3 of 9: His attack is overwhelming, when he finally makes one. One hit is enough to kill you.
4 of 9: So don't let him get close enough to hit you.
5 of 9: The key to survival is keeping your distance. Turn Walk/Run Control (in Options) to run. Whenever he gets close enough to start a swing, run around him.
6 of 9: As soon as you get to a corner, turn around and fire at him with the Handgun. When he gets close, run around him and repeat. (You can also fight him with the Plank with Nails or the Chainsaw if you run out of ammo, but it takes a lot longer to hurt him and you can't hit from a distance.)
7 of 9: You can't kill him this time. All you can do is convince him that he ought to be moving along. How many bullets it will take differs depending on the Action level you chose.
8 of 9: When you've hit him enough to discourage him, you'll hear sirens start. When this happens, he'll look depressed and go down the stairs. As soon as the sirens start, stop firing (no need to waste ammo) and get out of his way. Don't follow him down the stairs!
9 of 9: When he gets to the bottom of the stairs and opens the door, the water will drain out. (Did you notice the stairwell was flooded?) At this point it's safe to go downstairs and out of the apartments, and you're finally in West Silent Hill.
