How can I find anything useful in Farley's files?

  • 1 of 9: The file cabinet is to the right of the window in Farley's office, but you can't just open a drawer and search randomly. You'll need a much clearer idea of what to look for.
  • 2 of 9: Go to the secretary's office and examine her desk to get a close-up, then look around for interesting items.
  • 3 of 9: Click on the notepad that's near the top left corner of the desk to get a close-up, then use the magnifying glass to look it over.
  • 4 of 9: Click the magnifying glass near the top of the page to get Holmes to notice some marks.
  • 5 of 9: They're doubtlessly indentations made when the page that was on top of this one was written on.
  • 6 of 9: The message mentions drawer D-F, which doubtlessly refers to the file cabinet.
  • 7 of 9: Go examine the file cabinet to get a close-up of it, then click on the DEF drawer to find that it's locked.
  • 8 of 9: After you open the DEF drawer, Holmes will mention that he needs some way of telling which card was consulted last.
  • 9 of 9: After you find the card with the blue smudge on its corner, click on it to take it.
