The Testament of Sherlock Holmes Hints
How does the safe-opening puzzle work?
1 of 6: There are a total of six arrows on the puzzle board: two on the left half, two on the right half, and two in the central section.
2 of 6: If you try clicking the arrows on the left and right halves at first, you'll find that they won't do anything.
3 of 6: That's because they rotate the colored balls in their half, and that can only be done when there's a complete "loop" of balls in there.
4 of 6: Press the central section's left arrow to move the four balls that are in the central section into the left section. You can then use the left section's arrows to rotate its balls around clockwise (down arrow) and counter-clockwise (up arrow).
5 of 6: The right section works the same way, except that its arrow directions are the reverse of the left side's. To verify that, use the central section's arrows to move four balls over to the right side so you can work with its arrows.
6 of 6: The goal is to get all of the green balls on one side, all of the red balls on the other side, and all of the blue balls in the central section.
