The Testament of Sherlock Holmes Hints
How does the grating puzzle work?
1 of 6: Your playing piece is the metal disc that starts out along the left side of the panel.
2 of 6: You move the metal disc by using the four arrows that are on the sides of the panel.
3 of 6: Each time you click on an arrow, the metal disc will move as far as it can in that direction. There's no way to get it to stop moving before it hits a barrier or the edge of the panel.
4 of 6: Your goal is to move the metal disc onto the light-colored circle that you can see along the right side of the board.
5 of 6: Due to the nature of the metal disc's movements, it's possible (and very easy) to get it moved to where you can't ever get it to the light-colored circle. When this happens, hit the "Reset" button to start over.
6 of 6: After you get the metal disc onto the circle, the puzzle will rearrange itself, and you'll have to do the same thing again. After you do it a third time, you'll finally be done with the puzzle.
