1 of 3: Examine the upper half of Kurtz's body to get a close-up, then check his right hand.
2 of 3: Click on the bandage to get Holmes to notice it, then look through your inventory for something that could remove it.
3 of 3: Select the pocket knife or scissors in inventory, then click on the bandage again to find that it hides a missing finger.
