The Elder Scrolls IV: Shivering Isles Hints

What's the best way to get there?

  • 1 of 7: Checking the world map, you'll see that a major road both starts and splits near the Gates of Madness.
  • 2 of 7: Both branches of the road lead eventually to New Sheoth, with the southern (Dementia) branch being a bit shorter.
  • 3 of 7: Before you start out, be ready to fight various creatures along the way. You might also want to be prepared for some dungeon delving, though that's totally optional right now.
  • 4 of 7: There is, however, a much quicker way to get to New Sheoth.
  • 5 of 7: Go back to Passwall inside the Fringe and get your Shivering Isles bounty raised by getting caught stealing something. See the link below to learn more about how that works.
  • 6 of 7: When you talk to a golden saint or dark seducer after getting your Shivering Isles bounty up to 1 or more, pay the fine to get taken to New Sheoth.
  • 7 of 7: The only trouble is, it can be hard to get your Shivering Isles bounty raised, and then to find a patrolling saint or seducer to surrender to. It may be quicker to just take the southern main road fork to New Sheoth.
