Follow Tharstan over to a pedestal with an inscription on it, then look to the north and the south to find gates that are closed.
- How can I get those gates open?

Just west of the fire pit are two statues next to some steps, each of which has a special keyhole on it. You'll need to explore the two side areas you just opened up (in either order) to find the two keys you need.
- How can I get the key from the north side area?
- How can I get the key from the south side area?
