The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Game Add-Ons (DLC) Hints

Are there any other useful supplies in the fort?

  • 1 of 11: You can find a few more bolts on a table next to the practice dummies that are in a large cave room to the NE of the central chamber.
  • 2 of 11: Go to the east end of the adjacent hallway to find a spiral staircase that leads up to a door. Go through the door to enter a small outdoor area where you can find more crossbows, more bolts, a Dawnguard war axe, another Dawnguard helmet, and some Dawnguard gauntlets.
  • 3 of 11: The large cave room that's west of the central chamber has a tanning rack, a workbench, a grindstone, and a smelter in it, plus a table near some archery targets with a crossbow and some bolts on it. There's also a book on a shelf called "The Aetherium Wars" that'll give you the "Investigate the ruins of Arkngthamz" miscellaneous quest, which can be done now or later.
  • 4 of 11: The adjacent kitchen area has a cooking pot, plus a Dawnguard war axe on one of the tables.
  • 5 of 11: Go up the spiral staircase that's south of the kitchen to find a door that leads outside to a large patio-like area. Look a short way directly west of the door to find a Dawnguard warhammer, a grindstone, a Dawnguard war axe, a Dawnguard shield, and Dawnguard boots.
  • 6 of 11: A bit west of that is another Dawnguard war axe in a weapon rack, and down at the west end of the area is a crossbow and some bolts. Two more crossbows and a Dawnguard war axe can be found on weapon racks just NE of the door that leads back inside.
  • 7 of 11: Look SE of the central chamber to find some stairs that lead up to a door. Use it to reach an outdoor area that has a Dawnguard warhammer, some crossbows and Dawnguard war axes on weapon racks, some bolts in a bucket, and a One-Handed skill book next to a bed roll.
  • 8 of 11: The stairs that are directly east of the central chamber can be used to get to the second floor, but there's nothing up there now except a few misc. supplies.
  • 9 of 11: If you want more stuff, including some special exploding bolts, explore the Dead Drop Falls area. Its entrance is along the northern side of the fort's large NE cave room.
  • 10 of 11: If you really want some Dawnguard armor now, you could go outside and kill Celann and/or Durak to get theirs. Isran won't care, but you might if you get overwhelmed. Try using sneak attacks and poisons to make it easier. (Or just pickpocket their armor if you have the Pickpocket skill's Perfect Touch perk.)
  • 11 of 11: If you feel like fighting several bears, go to Mossy Glen Cave, which has entrances both north and NW of the fort. Hack up the cave's local wildlife, then look for a treasure chest in the NW corner, plus two more on a raised ledge along the west side.
