The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Game Add-Ons (DLC) Hints
Where can I get the materials necessary to make all of these items?
1 of 8: There are unlimited sources of quarried stone and clay right nearby.
2 of 8: When you run low on sawn logs, you could go to any mill and talk to the owner about buying lumber, but you may find it more convenient to buy lumber in the hold's capital city. (Unless that capital city is Dawnstar, which doesn't have any lumber mills in it or near it.)
* Falkreath => Bolund in the "Gray Pine Goods" store * Morthal => Thonnir in his house * Dawnstar => (nobody)
3 of 8: Even more convenient would be getting a steward for your manor and having him buy lumber for you.
5 of 8: As for iron and corundum ingots, you can go mine iron and corundum ore to make them out of, or you can buy them premade from blacksmith merchants.
6 of 8: Leather strips can be bought from blacksmith merchants, or made out of leather that you either buy or create from animal hides at tanning racks.
7 of 8: Glass, goat horns, and straw can be bought from most general store merchants. Goat horns can also be gotten from goats that you kill.
8 of 8: NOTE: After you get new materials and return, a workbench may glitch and not give you any options (or it may give you options it shouldn't, because you've already built them). If that happens, try using the drafting table and/or anvil, then returning to the workbench.
