The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Hints

Getting through the Serpent's Bluff Ruins.

  • 1 of 8: Go to Serpent's Bluff Redoubt and fight your way through all the forsworn in the large outdoor camp.
  • 2 of 8: Enter the Serpent's Bluff Ruins, then crouch down and sneak down some stairs, watching out for a pressure plate just past them.
  • 3 of 8: Stop near the pressure plate and look across the room ahead to see a forsworn sitting on a chair to the right of a door.
  • 4 of 8: Get out a bow and carefully sneak-shoot her, then watch out for a tripwire as you go across to the door she was guarding. (You probably can't get past the tripwire without triggering it, so stay right and crouch-run past it as fast as you can.)
  • 5 of 8: While watching out for another pressure plate, turn left and look into the large room past the bars. You'll be able to sneak-shoot a hagraven and a couple of forsworn in that room.
  • 6 of 8: Kill them all, then go through the nearby door and around to reach their room while watching for yet another pressure plate.
  • 7 of 8: At the path split past the gate, go right to find a room with some loot in it, then go left to find another closed gate.
  • 8 of 8: Open that one by pushing the button that's on the wall to the right of it, then go past it to exit the ruins.
