The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Hints
Alftand Animonculory
1 of 9: Go down the hallway and through some more large golden doors, then go through the gap in the golden fencing ahead. That way, you can go under the upper floor and skip fighting a dwarven sphere and a couple of spiders.
2 of 9: Use the large pipes to jump up onto the upper floor at its other end, then go over to a ramp with three pressure plates on it. To avoid activating a spinning blade trap, go up the left or right edge of the ramp.
3 of 9: Watch out for a dwarven spider dropping down on you past the ramp, then use the lever to open the nearby gate.
4 of 9: Go along the sloping stone pathway past the gate until you reach some locked golden doors, then look directly across from the doors for a drop-off. If you drop carefully, you'll only lose a little bit of health. (Or if you first drop to the big pipe section that's to the right as you look down, you may not lose any health.)
5 of 9: Move down the next section of sloping stone walkway, ready to fight some corrupted elves called falmer as you go. Also watch for the occasional pushy piston and dwarven spider, plus an on-and-off flame gadget near the next set of golden doors.
6 of 9: After you go through those doors, you'll need to fight your way through a falmer dwelling area. (Note the oil spills in the second chamber, as well as the on-and-off flames that you'll need to time your way past.)
8 of 9: Past the dwelling area, go down the last bit of curving stone walkway to reach the bottom of the huge shaft, where you'll have to fight a few falmer and a large frostbite spider before going through yet another set of large golden doors.
9 of 9: Watch out for an obvious claw trap as you approach the next golden doors, then use the doors to enter the Alftand Cathedral area.
