The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Hints

What's the easiest way to sneak through the warehouse area?

  • 1 of 8: After you enter, wait for Gulum-Ei to walk out of sight, then move forward to where you can turn right and jump into the water.
  • 2 of 8: Swim straight across, then turn left and move over to the base of some stairs.
  • 3 of 8: Don't go up them, but instead go past them and over to some other stairs.
  • 4 of 8: Go behind those stairs and then past their left side to find the base of a wooden ramp.
  • 5 of 8: Go up the ramp and along the short walkway to find a door to Brinewater Grotto. Don't use it yet, though.
  • 6 of 8: NOTE: This is a good time to go after the item required for the "Return the East Empire Shipping Map to Delvin" miscellaneous quest.
  • 7 of 8: Wait next to the door until Gulum-Ei walks up to it, then get out of his way if necessary so he can go through it. (It's okay if he sees you, so there's no need to use an Invisibility potion if you don't want to.)
  • 8 of 8: After he's through, use the door yourself to enter Brinewater Grotto and get the next objective.
