The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Hints
Running through Shalidor's Maze.
1 of 8: Go to Labyrinthian and look for the door that leads to Shalidor's Maze just east of the central dome-like structure.
2 of 8: Inside, move forward to a circular platform where four magic staffs rise up.
3 of 8: If all you want to do is visit the local Word Wall, you can ignore the staffs and go around the maze on either side to reach it.
4 of 8: If you want to explore the maze, take all four staffs, then enter the maze through either its northern or southern entrance.
5 of 8: Use the appropriate staff (or spell) on the first wall sigil you come to, then go down a long, unbranching passage to reach another wall sigil.
6 of 8: Use the right type of spell or staff on it to be dumped into a crypt area with a spiral staircase that can be used to reach a spot outside the maze.
7 of 8: After you do one half of the maze that way, do the other half to get the special prize.
8 of 8: For more loot, go south from the circular platform where you got the staffs to a small garden, then turn right and go up the stairs to reach a spot where you can jump across to a snow-covered board walkway. Go along it until you reach a side area on your left that has a chest, then continue along it and over the Word Wall's big slanty "roof." Not far past it is another left-side area with a skeleton and a leveled mace.
