The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Hints

Find the Gauldur Amulet Fragment in Folgunthur.

  • 1 of 8: The next thing to do is lower the bridge that's near Daynas Valen's corpse.
  • 2 of 8: Kill off the draugr on the other side of the bridge, then turn right and fight your way to a lever puzzle.
  • 3 of 8: Move on past the gates and turn right, then move forward slowly so you can avoid the rockfall that (hopefully) injures a draugr at the bottom of the stairs.
  • 4 of 8: After finishing the draugr off, go through the door near it and kill a couple more draugr before figuring out a way to open up the floor's stairwell.
  • 5 of 8: Go to the bottom of the stairwell, then kill a couple of frostbite spiders on your way to a puzzle-lock door.
  • 6 of 8: Past the puzzle door is a door that leads to the Folgunthur Crypt area. Enter it and move into the huge crypt room slowly.
  • 7 of 8: Mikrul Gauldurson and some draugr thralls will rise when you move far enough into the room. Try to sneak-attack Gauldurson or the thralls to get in some good starting damage, then run around for cover if necessary while finishing them off.
  • 8 of 8: Loot Gauldurson's body to get his amulet fragment and unique sword, then look for a claw keyhole gimmick near a spear gate at the south end of the area. Use it to lower the spear gate, giving you access to a Word Wall and a shortcut back to a previous area.
