The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Hints
How can I open the puzzle door?
of 11: First, turn around and deal with the six draugr who rise and attack you two at a time.
of 11: Notice that the door has an interactive center circle labeled "keyhole."
of 11: Try using it to find that the Ivory Dragon Claw item fits into it. However, that won't open the door -- it'll just set off a couple of flame traps.
of 11: Examining the door for other interactive items, you'll find that it has three stone rings on it that can be rotated.
of 11: Each ring has symbols for a hawk, a wolf, and a dragon. They must act as the door's three-"digit" combination lock.
of 11: Unfortunately, the combo isn't conveniently engraved on the walls anywhere. You'll have to find it somewhere else.
of 11: The Ivory Dragon Claw item that fits into the door's keyhole might have a clue on it.
of 11: Go to the "misc" section of your inventory and click on the Ivory Dragon Claw item, then click and drag on its picture to rotate it.
of 11: Get it to where you can see the three symbols engraved on it, then use them to set the door's three rings correctly.
of 11: Set the top ring to the hawk symbol, the middle ring to the hawk symbol, and the bottom ring to the dragon symbol.
of 11: You can then use the keyhole to get the door open.
