The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Hints
Find King Olaf's Verse.
1 of 11: Travel to Dead Men's Respite, checking the Morthal section of the World Map Exploration Guide if you need help getting there.
2 of 11: Enter the barrow and move forward to the first room, where you'll see a ghost walk toward a closed gate.
3 of 11: Watch out for a spear trap past the gate, and keep going until you reach a dead end.
4 of 11: Use the pull chain to rotate a wall section, then explore the small crypt area past it to find a couple of frostbite spiders and another pull chain.
5 of 11: Use it to open up another crypt section, then fight your way through its draugr to reach a passage that leads to a large room with more spiders in it.
6 of 11: Use the pull chain on the east wall to open up one of the floor grates, then drop into the water and go along the partly flooded passage. After killing a skeever, you'll come to a large room with several draugr in it.
7 of 11: Hang back and draw them to you, then go up the room's spiraling ramp and over to a closed gate. Before you open it, look down at its bottom right corner and see if you can disarm the tripwire. If you can't, you'll have to sprint past a swinging axe trap after opening the gate.
8 of 11: Use the chain on the other side of the bridge to turn the swinging axes off if you triggered them, then go up the next spiral ramp to reach some iron doors. Past them, move on to find a magically sealed door you can't open, followed by another draugr crypt area.
9 of 11: When you enter the room with a large floor grate in the middle, a gate will close behind you, and two other gates will open and release draugr.
