The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Hints
Find Rjorn's Drum.
1 of 10: Talk to Giraud Gemane to get this objective, then travel to Halldir's Cairn. (See the Falkreath section of the World Map Exploration Guide for directions.)
2 of 10: Enter the cave and look for a locked door along the south wall of the large cairn chamber. If you don't want to pick it open for practice, grab the key from the nearby pedestal.
3 of 10: Past the door, go up the stairwell, then turn right and fight a couple of ghosts on your way to another locked door. (Note that the key opens it, too.)
4 of 10: Take down two more ghosts past that door, then go down the passage to where some bone chimes are hung. Try to sneak past them silently, since there are two ghosts and a draugr in the crypt area ahead, and it would help if you could sneak-attack them.
5 of 10: After you finish them off, look past them for two more draugr and a closed gate.
7 of 10: Fight some more ghosts in the next crypt area, then go down the passage at its north end to reach a large chamber. Quicksave before you enter, since a gate will close behind you, trapping you in there with a powerful spectral draugr named Halldir.
8 of 10: After Halldir is put down, loot him to get his unique staff, then check the big treasure chest near his throne to find Rjorn's Drum.
9 of 10: To shortcut your way back to the exit, open the large floor grate that's in the center of the chamber and carefully drop down the shaft, using the wooden planks as intermediate stops.
10 of 10: Return to the Bards College and talk to Giraud Gemane about the drum to get a +1 to all of your combat skills. (Note that one of the skills may only gain practice progress rather than actually going up a point.)
