The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Hints

Post-Quest Notes

  • 1 of 7: Several of the Companions can now be used as free followers, meaning you don't have to pay them to follow you around and help out with combat and loot carrying. You can talk to Aela the Huntress and get her to start following you right away if you want.
  • 2 of 7: If you have another Glenmoril witch head with you, you could activate the Flame of the Harbinger gadget again before leaving and cure yourself of lycanthropy now. If you do that, you'll have to fight your wolf spirit, and then you'll be unable to transform into a werewolf anymore. Even if you want to be cured, it's best to wait until later, after you've cured Farkas and Vilkas on a randomized quest. (Curing yourself now can prevent that quest from working properly.)
  • 3 of 7: Go up the curving board ramp in the NE corner of the burial chamber to find a chest with the powerful Shield of Ysgramor in it.
  • 4 of 7: Near that chest is a gate you can open with a pull chain, followed by some winding stairs. Down the next passage is a pull chain you can use to open up a shortcut to the starting chamber.
  • 5 of 7: Activate the Ysgramor statue again to get the unique battleaxe named Wuuthrad back if you haven't already done so.
  • 6 of 7: Return to Jorrvaskr and go up to the Skyforge. Talk to Eorlund Gray-Mane, then use the Skyforge to see that it now has a new "draugr" category listed. It'll allow you to use leather strips and steel ingots to transform ancient nord weapons into nord hero weapons.
  • 7 of 7: You can also get more Randomized Quests from Aela the Huntress, Vilkas, and Farkas, including three new ones.
