The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Hints
Collect Crimson Nirnroot in Blackreach (2/30).
1 of 4: You'll probably already have 2 or more crimson nirnroots, so leave the field lab and start looking around Blackreach for more.
2 of 4: Watch out for falmer and chaurus here and there, plus some other assorted creatures. Remember that crimson nirnroots are red, and make the same loud noise that regular nirnroots do when you get close to them.
3 of 4: If you can't find 30 or more crimson nirnroots, leave and do other things, then return after several game weeks have passed so you can repick all of the ones you found before. (This is also useful if you want to use some of the ones you find early on in potion-making. See the Exceptional Ingredient List.)
4 of 4: When you eventually get 30, you'll get the next objective.
