Where is the third clue going to take me?
1 of 8: Over western river waters, it says, so start looking over in the west parts of Skyrim.
2 of 8: The most useful clue is "by karth bounded, north and south."
3 of 8: Look for something near a large river that has a "karth" place to the north of it, and another one to the south.
4 of 8: A ways to the east of Markarth is Karthspire, and to the north of it is Karthwasten.
5 of 8: In between Karthspire and Karthwasten is Four Skull Lookout. That's apparently where you need to go.
6 of 8: To get there, head down the paved path that leads away from the Markarth Stables. Keep going until you reach a path split, then head down to the nearby river.
7 of 8: Follow the river north until it branches next to a small waterfall, then go down the east branch until you find a narrow path that leads NE up the side of a hill.
8 of 8: Follow the path until you reach some sharp wooden pickets, then turn NW to find Four Skull Lookout.
