Junkyard: How can I unlock the crane?
1 of 14: The control panel to unlock the crane is located on the wall of the crane building (on the side opposite from where Gus first climbed up onto the ledge).
2 of 14: If you could figure out the correct order for all these knobs perhaps you could fix the crane.
3 of 14: The correct order for the knobs is displayed nearby.
4 of 14: Look inside the tiny building.
5 of 14: Notice the diagram on the wall? This diagram shows how the control panel should be set.
6 of 14: Okay, back to the control panel. The top row should be filled with knobs 1, 2, 3; the bottom row should be filled with knobs 4, 5, 6.
7 of 14: Clicking on any of the knobs will highlight it. The knob that is highlighted is the one that can be moved.
8 of 14: Once a knob is highlighted, clicking on one of the available spaces will move the knob into that space.
9 of 14: The available space does not need to be in a straight line from where the knob currently is -- any direction of movement is possible.
10 of 14: The four knobs in the four corners of the puzzle will need to be solved before the ones in the center positions can.
11 of 14: Focus on one numbered knob at a time, moving the other knobs out of the way one-by-one.
12 of 14: Note that you can park a knob in the center channel (just to the left of the vertical channel). It is also possible to leave a knob just below the one at the top center position and just above the bottom center position.
13 of 14: The center (left) channel, as well as the extra positions in the vertical channel will help to move some of the knobs aside so that a specific knob can be moved past ones that are blocking the path.
14 of 14: Be prepared that you may need to move any single knob multiple times before parking it in its proper location.
