Still Life Hints

Burnt Neighborhood: How do I use the photograph of the burnt neighborhood?

  • 1 of 22: As before, perhaps Gus's psychic abilities with photographs and memories can help in this situation.
  • 2 of 22: You'll need to do the same thing as with the Park, and the Bridge.
  • 3 of 22: Visit the burnt neighborhood, and turn right into the side alley that matches the location in the photograph.
  • 4 of 22: Notice the "action" hand icon in the upper left corner of the screen.
  • 5 of 22: Use the photograph of the burnt neighborhood to find differences between the picture and the actual scene.
  • 6 of 22: When you click on a spot in the photograph, Gus will investigate the spot in the actual scene.
  • 7 of 22: Click on the large bathtub.
  • 8 of 22: Look closely, and read the words on the bottom of the tub.
  • 9 of 22: There doesn't appear to be anything else here, but perhaps Gus can gather more information from someone else.
  • 10 of 22: It's time to talk with some of the other characters again.  Who was that in the photo?
  • 11 of 22: One of the people in the photo is Skalnik...
  • 12 of 22: ... but returning to the police station will not help Gus at all.
  • 13 of 22: The other person in the photo appears to be Milena.
  • 14 of 22: Return to the Park and talk to Milena.
  • 15 of 22: She says that she saw Skalnik throw something into the sewer while he was there investigating that murder.
  • 16 of 22: If only Gus could check out the sewers in the burnt neighborhood.
  • 17 of 22: Return to the burnt neighborhood and search the crime scene area again.
  • 18 of 22: Notice the manhole cover in the middle of the street.
  • 19 of 22: Click on the manhole cover to have Gus remove the cover.
  • 20 of 22: Go down into the sewer.  (Good thing it's fairly dry.)
  • 21 of 22: Look around on the ground.
  • 22 of 22: Take the spiked ring near the right-hand side of the screen.
