Still Life Hints
Can you help me figure out where to put the rings?
of 8: Actually, the puzzle is not at all as difficult as it may appear at first.
of 8: While some rings may be able to fit into more than one square, or more than one position, other rings may fit in only one square, and in only one rotational position.
of 8: That is the place to begin -- trying to find one or more rings with a single solution, a single point of placement and rotation.
of 8: Finding, and placing, such a ring not only reduces the number of rings remaining to be placed, but it also reduces the number of potential "target" squares for the remaining rings. In other words, the puzzle gets easier, the further you get.
of 8: Looking at the six rings in the tray at the top of the screen, number them from 1-6, starting at the left.
of 8: Although the rings may be placed into the puzzle in any order, the following will make it easiest to determine where each ring should go.
of 8: Select, rotate, and place the rings from the tray, in the following order: 6, 3, 2, 1, 4, 5.
of 8: If you use that order, you should be able to discover one unique placement for each of the rings.
