Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords Hints
What's glitch #2?
1 of 6: There is a way that you can put two of the same kind of power crystal in a lightsaber, plus a third one!
2 of 6: Use a workbench to upgrade a lightsaber, and make the top power crystal slot empty and the bottom one be the type of crystal you want two of in the saber. Hit "assemble" and exit the workbench.
3 of 6: Reuse the workbench and then choose to upgrade that same saber again. In the empty top slot, you can now put another of the same kind of crystal you have in the bottom slot. (Sometimes, anyway -- it seems to randomly work and then not work for some reason. C'est la vie with glitches.)
4 of 6: Do so and hit "assemble," then choose to upgrade that same lightsaber one last time. The two duplicate crystals will have "combined" in the top slot (but both of their effects are on the saber), and you can put any other kind of crystal in the bottom slot.
5 of 6: There are two drawbacks to this: putting two of your personalized crystals in the same saber this way *won't* double the stat increases that the crystals give; also, if you upgrade the saber in any way afterwards, the effects of your doubled crystal will vanish.
6 of 6: Due to that, this three-crystal process is a great thing to do to your sabers as soon as you start the endgame sequence (since you're unable to upgrade your personalized crystal anymore, and would therefore have no reason to ever upgrade the sabers again, anyway).
