Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords Hints
How can I get the locked security door open?
of 11: Have you tried opening it from the maintenance console in a nearby room?
of 11: The easiest way to open the security door is to just destroy the maintenance console (it's an option when you use it).
of 11: But that gets you far less XP than the other ways. (Besides, this console can be used for other things, like tracking who ordered the lethal dose of sedatives for you.)
of 11: If you haven't done so already, talk to the HK Protocol Droid about a way into the hangar bay.
of 11: Keep talking to him about it until you learn that he has the code, but it's voiceprinted so that the maintenance console will only acknowledge the code if it's spoken in the voice of the (now-dead) maintenance officer.
of 11: Then ask about the body on the floor and the screams to learn that HK can speak the code in the maintenance officer's voice.
of 11: To get any further with this, you have to have a Persuade skill of at least 5 or a Computer Use skill of at least 8. If not, you'll have to use the alternate solution (or just destroy the maintenance console as noted earlier).
of 11: If you can get the droid to speak the code in the maintenance officer's voice, you need to do so with a recording device in hand so that you can replay the recording to the maintenance console.
of 11: Look in the plasteel cylinder in the room with the workbench to find a sonic imprint sensor.
of 11: Now go talk to HK again and persuade him to repeat the code in order to get a recording of it.
of 11: Once you have the recording, you'll get a new option on the maintenance console that allows you to use your recording to unlock the ability to open the security door.
