How do I get that door open?

  • 1 of 17: You can't even try to lockpick, mine, or bash it, and the computer terminal next to it is offline.
  • 2 of 17: You'll have to search the two side corridors for some other way. Start with the south one.
  • 3 of 17: TIP: When you come to the area with battles in minefields, switch control to Mira if you have her so you can run around freely without setting off the mines. Otherwise, use ranged weapons and have someone recover mines to get them out of your way.
  • 4 of 17: The computer terminal in the long east/west hall doesn't help much. You can just try to stop "user 0" from overloading the console in your face, or you can let him do it. Keep going to the end of that hall.
  • 5 of 17: Go through the first door for a large, tough combat, then go through the second and third doors for more combat.
  • 6 of 17: When it's all over, you'll be left alone in the security complex except for Captain Riiken in a holding cell and Kiph the slicer at a terminal.
  • 7 of 17: Talk to Kiph and say what you feel like saying to the Vaklu-supporting jerk, but don't kill him since you're Light Side.
  • 8 of 17: Then move to where you can click on the terminal to use it. You need to access system commands and open all the security doors and force cages.
  • 9 of 17: Log out and talk to Captain Riiken, then use the terminal again and access the primary override code and shut down the terminal.
  • 10 of 17: Now for the north corridor. (NOTE: You can talk to Riiken again and have him escort you back to the front quickly instead of running the whole way.)
  • 11 of 17: Start by finishing all the battles in the long and winding hallway, all the way to the end, before going into any rooms.
  • 12 of 17: Then you might as well go back and loot the museum of its treasures, killing all the Vaklu troops in there as you do. More XP and loot! (NOTE: If you get poisoned in the museum, use Kreia's Master Heal to cure it.)
  • 13 of 17: For even more loot, go to the easternmost door in the long east/west hallway and use its computer panel to get into the storage room.
  • 14 of 17: When you're done with all that, approach the locked door that's near the storage room door to get Mastar Kavar to open it from the other side.
  • 15 of 17: He'll say that Captain Kadron needs you for a dangerous assignment, so go through the next couple of doors to find Kadron and talk to him.
  • 16 of 17: It turns out that the assignment is to shut down the slicer on the other side of the palace, and you've already done that.
  • 17 of 17: Give Kedron the primary code, and he'll have a corporal use it to open the door that Tobin locked on you earlier. (You can then say you'll go there immediately to get "teleported" to the now-open door.)
