Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords Hints
How can I answer the three math problems the panel asks me?
1 of 9: After you repair the corrupted key sequence, it'll ask you which of the listed numbers is such that double the number is 99 more than half the number.
2 of 9: You can write it out in a formula where N represents the unknown number, getting:
2N = 99 + (N / 2)
3 of 9: Multiply both sides by 2, then subtract N from both sides, and finally divide both sides by three. (Or just read the answer in the next hint.)
4 of 9: You'll get 66, so enter that.
5 of 9: The second one is a little trickier, since it's hard to write a regular-type formula for a problem that talks about switching digits.
6 of 9: Fortunately, it's multiple choice, so you can just try each number out by letting A represent the original number and B represent the number with its digits reversed, then putting those two numbers into this formula to see if it equals out:
B = (6 * A) / 5
7 of 9: You'll find that 45 is the only number that it works for, so enter 45.
8 of 9: The last problem is an even more annoyingly difficult reverse-digits one. In this one, let A represent the digit in the tens place (A for 48 would be 4) and B represent the digit in the ones place (B for 48 would be 8). Then try out the numbers you're given in this formula:
