2 of 8: You can talk to the patriarch, who's back in the chapel.
3 of 8: With some persistence, he'll finally tell you exactly where Alexei is.
4 of 8: Unfortunately, it's the graveyard. But maybe that's not the dead end (so to speak) it seems.
5 of 8: Go talk to the monk who was listening in at the keyhole of Hans's room.
