Syberia II Hints
Which candles should I light?
of 14: The clue to this is also hidden, elsewhere in the monastery.
of 14: It's in the chapel.
of 14: Did you notice the beautiful icons on the walls?
of 14: One of them elicits an odd comment from Kate about its being beautiful "all the same."
of 14: That icon (which is on the left as you're facing the patriarch's niche) also has a "use" hotspot on it.
of 14: There must be more to it than meets the eye.
of 14: You might think you need a chisel or such, but you don't need to be that destructive. You just want to remove the top layer of paint in that one spot.
of 14: Have you seen a bit of steel wool or paint remover around?
of 14: No? How about a scrubbing brush?
of 14: After you talked to the eavesdropping monk, he left his bucket and brush in the courtyard.
of 14: Take the brush and use it on the icon.
of 14: This pattern shows you which candles to light in the library.
of 14: Light the candles in the positions of the white circles, and leave the ones in the positions of the dark circles.
of 14: There are twelve candles in a circle. If it were a clock face, you'd want to light the candles at 12, 3, 4, 8, and 9. The cross on the floor tells you where the top of the clock is.
