Curse of Atlantis: Thorgal's Quest Hints
How can I leave the village?
of 10: Have you tried talking to Oldreif, the local ruler? He's in his hut, sitting on his throne.
of 10: Enter the big hut in the village (click on its door until it opens, then go inside) and talk to Oldreif.
of 10: Keep talking to him until Noral appears and sits down.
of 10: Then talk to Noral until he directs you to a magic mirror on a nearby chest.
of 10: Walk over and pick up the mirror to get a vision of the future in which Thorgal apparently shoots his own son in the chest with an arrow.
of 10: Talk to Noral again until he takes off. (Interesting that he can change form, and that Thorgal suspects such a being of impersonating him in the vision.)
of 10: Go back in the hut and talk to Oldreif again.
of 10: It seems he's worried about the gods having a hand in the affair, and is unwilling to defy their will. He's also worried that the bandits in the forest will attack his village in reprisal if you run afoul of them on your way to the other side of the island.
of 10: There's no way to talk him into helping you, so you'll have to figure out how to repair the drawbridge at the far end of the village yourself.
