Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation Hints
How do I open the door next to a pole at the start of the level?
1 of 6: If you haven't already found this door, it will be on the middle level surrounding the pole (that is, below the entrance level but above ground level). The door is on the west wall, in between two urns.
2 of 6: Jump back onto the pole and slide down to the ground level. You may find something there to help you.
3 of 6: There are a few switches on the walls on that level. And there are also a lot of bugs running around here -- you may want to figure out some way of dealing with them before you worry about the door.
4 of 6: Only two of the three holes have switches. You only need to use the holes/switches on the north and east walls. The south wall has a medipack, but you may decide that you'd rather just head back up and get out of this area.
5 of 6: Also, note that there's no way to pull the switches while holding the torch. You'll need to use SPACEBAR to drop the torch before you can reach into the holes. You may want to pick up the torch again, or you may find it faster just to move onto the next switch.
6 of 6: I dropped the torch fairly close to a switch and then ran around the level a bit before going to the next switch. Jump over the bugs if they got close to you while you were using the first switch. The bugs will try to follow you but probably can't catch up -- so you have a chance either to pick up the torch or to move to the next switch, whichever you prefer.
