Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation Hints
How do I get the key out of the cage in the Egyptian Adventure area?
1 of 18: There's no way that you'll be able to open the cage itself.
2 of 18: Instead, you're going to have to find an object that will let you reach the key from a distance.
3 of 18: Try solving some other puzzles in this area first -- they contain some objects that you'll need here.
4 of 18: In particular, slide down a nearby ramp and get through the shooting gallery.
5 of 18: Once you've destroyed all of the targets, jump off the ramp and head toward the face that's on the wall below where the targets were.
6 of 18: Then, take the token that falls out of the mouth and climb through the crawlspace back to the main part of this area.
7 of 18: Have you seen anything that might be able to use that token?
8 of 18: There was a token slot in the room with the mechanical snake charmer (in the same hall as the crossbow room).
9 of 18: Use the token in the slot, and you can then climb up the "snake" rope into the storage area above.
10 of 18: No one item here will get you the key, but two in combination might.
11 of 18: Start by taking a broken broom handle from the mess just to the right of the alcove in this room.
12 of 18: And look for something that you can add to the handle to help you get the key off its hook.
13 of 18: Like another hook.
14 of 18: There are many hooks in this room, but for some reason, you can only take one of them. Keep trying them all until you find one that you can use.
15 of 18: Go into the alcove and walk up to the hook on your left. You can use the crowbar to pry that hook out of the wall.
16 of 18: Combine it with the broken broom handle, and you now have an item that you can use to retrieve the key.
17 of 18: You need to walk up to the key cage so that you're facing the hook with the key straight on. There will be a small blue box below and in front of you if you're in the right place.
18 of 18: Use the hook and pole here, and the key will fling out onto the ground behind you. Make sure that you pick it up -- it does *not* go into your inventory automatically, and if you save and later restore your game before getting the key, you may find that the key has gone back into the cage.
