How do I get past the rooms with the feather on a balance?
1 of 8: Take a look at the nearby walls for a hint. In the first of these rooms, Lara will even stop to look at one part of the wall to make sure you see that hint.
2 of 8: You'll see a number of wavy lines on the wall above one of the pools in these rooms.
3 of 8: Although I'm not sure how the ancient Egyptians knew about the metric system, you're supposed to put one liter of water for every wavy line in the jar on the balance, opposite the feather.
4 of 8: You also need to put that amount of water in the jar in a single try. That is, you can't pour in 1 liter and then another to make 2; you need to pour in 2 liters at once.
5 of 8: There are also two waterskins to help you get the right amount of water -- a small (3-liter) one from an earlier level, and a large (5-liter) one available in the first of these rooms.
6 of 8: You can get the water you need from the pools to either side of the scales. In theory, just walk into the pool, and "use" the appropriate waterskin to fill it, or "use" a full waterskin to empty it. I found, however, that the game was very picky about where I used the waterskins, and I sometimes had to walk around a while until I could fill or empty one.
7 of 8: You can also pour the contents of one waterskin into another by combining the two. Lara will only pour as much as she can into the next waterskin -- the excess water stays in the first one.
8 of 8: You will have to solve three of these puzzles, each with their own specific solutions.
